Ardere de tot. Burnt offering - Paulina Popa

Volumul cuprinde o colectie de poeme bilingve a doi autori, Paulina Popa si James Meredith, cu titlul "Ardere de tot. Burnt offering".

James Meredith locuieste in Belfast, Irlanda, poemele lui fiind publicate in diverse reviste din Europa: The Sting Fly, Abridged & The Honest, ori Black and Blue.
Paulina Popa este poet, publicist, editor,presedinte al festivalului international de Poezie si membru al Uniunii Scriitorilor din Romania.

" PANA ACUM
am fost femeia in casa
am spalat picioarele si am plans

am crezut ca am ochii buni si pasul vioi

am crezut ca poemul e suficient

asa am crezut
pana cand am vazut cu ochii mei

numele poeziei era scris cu sange
ori poate era cemeala rosie
si ochiul meu
nu era format sa faca diferenta

UNTIL NOW
I have also been a maid in my house
I have washed feet and wept

I have believed that my eyes are good and my step nimble
I have believed that poetry is enough

I believed
until I saw with my own eyes

the name of the poem has been written in blood
or maybe in red ink
And my eye
has not been taught to tell the difference

GHOSTS
All winter long we
sowed seeds, nested.

Melded to one another we
battled the cold as our days
shortened with the nights.

With the seasons' thaw came
an untangling.

We awoke upon a different dawn
highlighting the paucity of our need.

Come summer all that remained were
fingerprints on the dusty shelves & a
palm print on the mirror.


NALUCI
Am pus seminte toata iarna,
le-am facut cuib.

Topiti unul in bratele celuilalt,
am invins frigul cand zilele
se scurtau din pricina noptilor.

Cu dezghetul
a venit si scaparea.

Ne-am desteptat la ivirea noilor zori
luminand putinatatea nevoii noastre.

Vino vara, au ramas doar urmele degetelor
pe rafturile prafuite& urma unei palme
pe oglinda.
