Aldous Huxley (1894-1963) a fost un scriitor britanic, membru al unei vechi familii engleze, al caror stralucit istoric se perindă în linia lui de descendență. El s-a născut la 26 iulie 1894 în Godalming, Surrey, Anglia si a urmat colegiul Eton si Universitatea Oxford. In 1917, Huxley s-a casatorit cu Maria Nys, iar în 1936 s-au mutat in California.
