Thich Nhat Hanh (pronuntat "Tic Nat Han") este un autor, activist si lider spiritual buddhist vietnamez in varsta de 92 de ani care a petrecut mai mult de 70 de ani in slujba de student, invatator al invatamantului buddhist si promotor al pacii si reducerii tensiunilor politice. Thich Nhat Hanh a fost una din figurile de baza in rezistenta impotriva razboiului din Vietnam si astrasi, la 49 de ani, premiul Nobel pentru Pace. Thich Nhat Hanh a fondat numeroase comunitati si centre buddhiste, dintre care cele mai semnificative sunt Plum Village din Franta si Blue Cliff Monastery din New York.
