Roald Dahl
Roald Dahl a fost un scriitor britanic de origine norvegiana, cunoscut pentru scrierile sale pentru copii, precum "Matilda", "The BFG" si "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". Născut in 1916, Dahl a crescut in orașul norvegian Llandaff, Wales, unde a primit o educație tradițională englezească la scoala. După absolvire, s-a alăturat armatei britanice, participând la cel de-al doilea razboi mondial. După război, a devenit scriitor de ficțiune, inițial publicând povestiri scurte pentru adulți, dar a devenit rapid cunoscut pentru scrierile sale pentru copii.
