When he was nineteen, Jo l Dicker sent in his work, El tigre to a literary award. Later, the president of the jury confessed that the jury had not taken his work into consideration because it seemed unreal that someone so young could have written such a story. Eight years later, Dicker received the Great Award by the French Academy, and the Goncourt des Lyc ens Award with La verdad sobre el caso Harry Quebert/The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair which has since become a literary phenomenon.
