Autorul de carti Gestalten, cunoscut sub numele de „Gestalten Verlag”, este un grup de editura si design din Berlin specializat in publicare de carti tematice dedicate design-ului, a unor concepte culturale si a unor proiecte creative. Originea lor se datoreaza anului 1995, cind s-a fondat prima editura. Acestia se mandresc cu peste 350 de titluri pe rafturile lor, publicate in mai multe limbi printre care se numara engleza, germana, franceza, spaniola si japoneza. Cel mai important dintre autorii lor este Mateo Kries, fondatorul editurii, care a scris si editat numeroase carti, precum „Drifting Through Design”, „Print Matters” si „Designing Multi-Platform Experiences”.
