Am fost uimit de abilitatea lui Orwell de a crea o lume atât de terifiantă și realistă, și de a transmite mesajul puternic despre pericolele supravegherii de stat și a lipsei de libertate individuală.
1984 este lectură obligatorie pentru toți cei care sunt preocupați de problemele legate de puterea politică și de controlul social, și care doresc să înțeleagă mai bine consecințele nefaste ale unei astfel de lumi.
